The Swale Business Awards is now regarded as one of the area's most prestigious events. Each year the diversity and excellence of local business from Sittingourne, to Sheppey and Faversham has made the awards an important notch in the events calendar.

It's a chance for entrants to have themselves profiled in the East Kent Gazette and on this website and to become a finalist is quite an achievement. Three years ago Ecologia from Kent Science Park won the overall award, then long standing family bus company Chalkwell and last year it was Go Response Ltd.

The sponsors are all locally connected so have an understanding of the area. They include the three judges who are looking not for company size, but initiative, entreprenurial spirit, a green slant and community links.

So don't waste any time. Providing your turnover is less than £6.5 million and you've been trading for a year to 1 Januaryl 2010 you are very welcome to enter. There are no categories although the judges may choose to single out a specific business for an award.
